 An echocardiogram is a test that uses ultrasound to show how your heart muscle and valves are working. The sound waves make moving pictures of your heart so your doctor can get a good look at its size and shape. You might hear them call it “echo” for short. 

 Carotid ultrasound uses sound waves to produce pictures of the carotid arteries in the neck which carry blood from the heart to the brain.  A carotid duplex ultrasound is performed to evaluate symptoms including   Dizziness, Stroke, TIA, Bruit and loss of memory.

 This is the most common test to look for abdominal aortic aneurysms that uses sound waves to look inside you painlessly,  Because abdominal aortic aneurysms often shows no symptoms, your doctor might be the first to find it after a routine exam 

  Arterial Doppler testing is noninvasive and painless. It is performed to evaluate symptoms including claudication & leg or arm pain.  Using ultrasound technology and blood pressure cuffs  to checks the circulation in either your arms or legs , your doctor will be able to detect any narrowed or blocked blood vessels.

  Venous Doppler testing is noninvasive and painless. It is performed to evaluate symptoms including swelling and pain. 

 Doppler ultrasound is a test that uses sound waves to create images and sounds of blood flow. This test can detect blood clots in the veins ( DVT) . This test can be done on the legs or the arms. 

The Renal Artery Doppler Ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to assess the blood flow into and out of the kidneys.

If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, your doctor may request this exam to determine if there is a narrowing in the blood vessels leading to each kidney from the aorta.
